As a curator I am passionate about how art galleries and museums can tell personal stories that connect everyone to our civic institutions. I love using public collections to ensure our museums and galleries reflect stories that include all of us and provide spaces where everyone feels welcome.

I'm a particularly strong advocate for the greater inclusion of LGBTQ+ stories in public collections, and I'm always exploring new ways to bring other important marginalised voices into mainstream settings.

I believe art and design histories belong to all of us and that the exhibitions, displays and public programs galleries which museums create, should reflect this.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve built a broad range of experience across the museum and gallery sectors.

Before my current role at Towner, I worked as the Curator of Art, Design at Craft at Brighton Museum, as a project curator for the National Trust for Scotland and spent five years as an Assistant Curator at V&A Dundee.

Aside from this I have held various roles at institutions ranging from V&A South Kensington to CodeBase - Scotland’s largest technology incubator.

I feel my range of experiences are nuanced and multi-faceted and allow me to see the bigger picture - whilst still focus in on the work that matters most to me.
